2017 NCAA Tip-Off

There were two new coaches at this year’s NCAA Tip-Off event at Lakeside on Oct. 3. Both Cal’s Wyking Jones and San Jose State’s Jean Prioleau joined coaches from the other Bay Area Division I schools to give Olympians a sneak peek into the new NCAA basketball season. Each of them had something to say about the other teams, from how they bested another last year or plan to get revenge this year.

Bands from Cal and USF greeted guests, while the cheer squads from Santa Clara, USF, San Jose State, Sacramento State and Cal brought the enthusiasm. Mascots from Cal (Oski), Santa Clara (Bucky), USF (The Don) and Sacramento State (Herky the hornet) also joined the fun.
