2017 Russian Valley Pinot Noir Dinner

On June 9 at City Clubhouse, members and guests explored the offerings of two Russian River Valley wineries, Papapietro and Holdredge. Executive Chef Derek Ingraham and his team planned perfect culinary pairings for each, including seared duck breast, honey-rubbed venison loin and Wagyu carpaccio. John Holdredge liked the carpaccio so much, he made his way back to the kitchen to thank the team, saying it was “the best he’d ever had!” Ben Papapietro also told them it was among the best wine and food pairings he has had with his wines.
