City Clubhouse
The historic City clubhouse, which reopened in 1912 following the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, features a dining and event spaces, fitness centers, cardio solarium, hotel facilities, handball and squash courts, circuit training facilities, two basketball courts and two swimming pools.

Entrance Policy
Guest Cards are required for unaccompanied member-sponsored guests and reciprocal club members who wish to use the athletic or dining facilities. Guest Cards are issued by the Front Desk. There is a per-day charge for Guest Cards. Guest Cards for Bay Area residents are valid only one (1) day per month. Guests from outside of the Bay Area or reciprocal club members may use the Club facilities a maximum of seven (7) consecutive days per visit and a maximum of thirty (30) days per calendar year.
Guests must check in with the Front Desk staff or the Sutter Street Security Desk prior to entering City Clubhouse. Guests waiting for their sponsoring Adult member will be requested to wait in the Lobby area or Security Desk area.
Electronic Devices
Mobile electronic devices without physical keyboards may be used (on silent mode only) in all Club facilities except the Junior Locker Rooms. Mobile electronic devices with physical keyboards (including cell phones) may be used (on silent mode only) in the following locations:
- The Overlook
- All parking areas and garages
- Meeting rooms during scheduled meetings
- All Adult Locker Room lounges only (not at or around lockers)
- Junior Activity Room (for educational purposes only) at City Clubhouse
- Business Centers
Voice calls on mobile electronic devices (including cell phones) may be taken in the following locations only:
- All parking areas and garages
- Outside the front door of City Clubhouse
- Phone Booths
Dress Code
The following are the minimum standards for attire. For full descriptions see our dress code:
- Post Street and Sutter Street Entrances, Main Lobby, and All Other Areas Casual and Athletic Attire permitted at all times.
- The Overlook: Athletic Attire, swimwear and robes permitted. Shoes must be worn at all times.
- Article III (dining area): Casual Attire.
- Article III Bar and Article III Express (A3X): Athletic Attire. Swimwear and robes are not permitted.
- Hall of Fame Game Room and 1860: Casual Attire.
- 2nd Floor and Meeting Rooms: Business Casual Attire, no denim.
Smoking
The Olympic Club is a smoke-free facility. Smoking, including smokeless electronic cigarettes or any alternative smoking product, is prohibited in any building on Club property and within 15 feet of Club entrances.
Parking
We are located off Union Square in downtown San Francisco, walking distance from the Powell Street Station, for passengers of BART and Muni.
The Olympic Club Parking Garage is located at 665 Sutter Street.
By the Pacific Ocean
Lakeside
The Lakeside property and Clubhouse, located just a few steps from the Pacific Ocean, features our three iconic golf courses, eight tennis courts (including one of the only clay courts in Northern California) and a historic clubhouse featuring spectacular dining and banquet facilities, meeting rooms, locker rooms, an exercise center, massage services and an indoor swimming pool.

Dress Code
The following are the minimum standards for attire. For full descriptions see our dress code:
Pants: Denim, cutoffs, fatigue or cargo style trousers or cargo shorts, yoga pants and/or athletic tights (with the exception of Athletic Attire in the Fitness Room and when proceeding directly to/from the locker room or parking lot) are not allowed anywhere on the Lakeside property, including the parking lots and snack bars.
Footwear: Shoes are required. Athletic sneakers are not acceptable for Business Casual attire; sandals are not acceptable for Golf or Tennis Attire. Soft spikes are permitted on the Main Floor of the Lakeside Clubhouse during golf events with the exception of The Lakeview restaurant during normally scheduled dining hours; metal spikes are not allowed on the Main Floor of the Lakeside Clubhouse at any time.
- Main Floor, Main Bar and The Lakeview: Business Casual, Golf and Tennis Attire (no shorts). After 5pm — Business Casual (Golf and Tennis Attire are not permitted).
- Champions Bar: Golf and Tennis Attire (Athletic Attire not permitted).
- Garden Court Patio Area: Golf and Tennis Attire (Athletic Attire not permitted).
- Golf Courses, Driving Range and Golf Practice Areas: Golf Attire.
- Tennis Courts: Tennis Attire.
- Fitness Areas: Athletic Attire.
- Club Events: Business or Themed Appropriate Attire as noted.
Smoking
The Olympic Club is a smoke-free facility. Smoking, including smokeless electronic cigarettes or any alternative smoking product, is prohibited in any building on Club property and within 15 feet of Club entrances.
Smoking is permitted on the grounds of the Lakeside Clubhouse property with the following provisions:
- Smoking is not permitted within 15 feet of any area where food or beverage are being sold, served or consumed.
- Smoking is allowed elsewhere on the Club grounds, but smokers shall not expose fellow members to unwanted secondhand smoke and must dispose of all smoking waste safely in receptacles.
Parking
Free parking for members and guests is available in the Main Parking lot, adjacent to the clubhouse. Valet parking is also available.
