The Club has created a brand-new website to provide better, more efficient member services and a smoother all around user experience. We have improved the navigation and added additional features to make your visits easier.

“In response to the 2012 member survey, the Club decided to develop a new website. The new look is much more mobile friendly with drastically improved navigation,” said General Manager Pat Finlen. “Dining reservations have been streamlined and we have introduced a new platform for scheduling all other types of lessons and appointments. We will continue with ForeTees for golf reservations.”

The streamlined navigation also allows for multiple ways to reach crucial information quicker, including the addition of a search function.

“To provide a more intuitive navigation experience, we have reduced the number of clicks necessary to reach essential information,” explained Paul Gonzalez, IT director at The Olympic Club. “We also added a much-needed search functionality to this version of the site, too, so no more hunting for a page on your own. You can look up those results or that event much quicker than before.”

The new site also offers the capability not only to view your statements, but also to pay your dues online.

When you log on to the new site for the first time, you’ll need to resubscribe to your interest lists. All members are automatically signed up for OC Weekly, the weekly digest of Club news distributed via email every Tuesday afternoon. To update your interest groups, go to View Your Info in the right menu bar and click My Account.

If you’d like help learning how to make the most out of the new Olympic Club website, please attend one of the scheduled training sessions. If those session times do not work for you and you’d still like some additional instruction to learn to use the new site, please drop us a line at [email protected] and we’ll provide other accommodations.

New Site Training Sessions

  • City Clubhouse: June 8, 12, 21 & 27 at 5:30-7pm in the Winged O Room on the third floor
  • Lakeside Clubhouse: June 15 & 28 at 5:30-7pm in the second-floor conference room

We’ve highlighted a few of the new features here that will improve your web experience, but not all of them, and there is more to come as we move into Phase 2.

VIEW & PAY BILLS ONLINE

With the new site, you may not only view your statements online, but also make payments. “You’ll be able to pay your bills online for the first time,” Finlen explained. “As we looked at the best ways to streamline online services, we had the goal of offering an online bill pay option as we developed the new site plans.”

SEARCH FUNCTION

No more clicking through multiple pages before you find what you want, now the site is fully searchable. Click on the magnifying glass icon on the top right of the main navigation in the header, enter what you’re searching for and it will provide links to show you where to go. Click here for an in-depth introduction to the search function.

NOTIFICATIONS

If there is an immediate campus closure or power outage, the Club now has a simple notification system set up to alert you. Click on the bell icon on the top right of the menu bar to see the latest alerts. Click here for an in-depth introduction to the notification system.

ONLINE RESERVATIONS

Now you can make reservations online for the Main Dining Rooms, lessons, courts, massages, personal training sessions and nutritional counseling.

There is an handy right-hand menu where you can find all the useful links there, or they will be on the top of whatever page you’re on (dining on the MDR page, tennis lesson on tennis, etc.)

DINING
You’ll find updated menus for each of the Club’s dining outlets, as well as their hours, dress codes and contact information.

“The new dining reservations platform mimics other commonly-used restaurant apps,” explained Gonzalez. “It’s a cleaner, more intuitive user experience.” Click here for an in-depth introduction to the dining reservations system..

BOOK ONLINE
From squash, golf and tennis lessons to court times, now you can reserve them all online through ClubLocker. Once you make a reservation, you’ll also receive an email confirmation with the ability to export it to your own calendar.

You will automatically be synced to the ClubLocker reservation system, so you will not need to sign up separately for this capability. There is also now a “My Reservations” page where you may view all of the reservations you have made in one location, including event, dining, lesson and massage reservations. Click here for an in-depth introduction to the book online options.

NEW, SEPARATED CALENDARS

The new calendar system displays events in color-coded, easy to search patterns that can be adjusted to customize your calendar to your interests. Each sports’ homepage now also includes a week-view calendar, too.

“Events and happenings are no longer listed in one massive calendar,” explained Gonzalez. “You can now view events in three distinct calendars for athletics, social events and special Club hours and you can use filters to make searching even simpler.” Click here for an in-depth introduction to the new, separated calendars and event registrations.

For Fitness Classes, you can also now sign up online at www.olyclub.com/health-fitness/fitness-classes to reserve your spot in these popular classes.

PRIVATE EVENTS WITH CLUBHOUSE MAPS

On the new site, you can see all the options available at both locations to host a private event at www.olyclub.com/the-club/private-events. Be it a small intimate event for 20 or a large extravaganza for 400, the OC staff is ready to provide excellent guidance and service along the way. From corporate meetings, business gatherings and more, the Club has the skills to service all scenarios. Now on the site, there are also floor maps available to let you see the specs of the room you’re interested in, as well as sample menus to peruse.

Now when you sponsor a guest to rent space for a private meeting or event, you can also share the page with them because that information has been unlocked for guests.

The site now allows you to search for the reciprocal club closest to you and the introduction letter system has been automated.

You may enter a zip code, city, or state and the Reciprocal Club Locator will pull up the clubs near you. Requests for letters of introduction will now automatically be sent to the club of your choice on your behalf. The Reciprocal Club Locator is also located in the footer of every page for easy access. Click here for an in-depth introduction to the new reciprocal club page and Locator.

The IT and Communications teams worked with an outside design contractor who specializes in online and mobile presentations to create the new look. The backend development was performed by Project Miso and was overseen by Gonzalez, Digital Communications Coordinator Danielle Fernandez and Senior Graphic Designer Robin Cheung. On the team since the beginning of the project, Cheung helped bridge the gap after the former lead on the project left the Club.

Websites are dynamic, living pieces that are never completed, so if there is something we’ve missed or that you think should be adjusted, it may already be on our agenda to add or adjust for Phase 2. If there is something you’d like to see us explore, please email [email protected] and staff will see what we can do. In the meantime, enjoy the new site!
